Survival-One was created by the merger of Multifabs Survival Limited and Whirly Bird Services Limited. The joining of the two companies brought together a wealth of experience and knowledge in the local and international markets. In addition, the portfolio of service provision grew with the transfer of the Safety Equipment department from Astec UK. The department services and repairs many different products including life rafts, floats and lifejackets.
In May 2007, Survival-One Ltd was acquired by Montagu Private Equity, the majority shareholders in the Survitec Group. Survitec Group focused on serving the military, marine, aerospace and homeland security markets, bringing together leading names involved in the design, manufacture, distribution and servicing of safety and survival equipment. Some of its leading brands include Beaufort, DSB, Eurovinil and RFD. Survival-One is responsible for Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) within the group.
